Deep Fried Wontons
Wontons are great as appetizer and usually serve with ketchup, mayo or some other dip. In this recipe wontons are filled with chicken but you can replace it with veggies filling.

  • Ingredients:

  • Square wontons 1 packet

  • Water as required

  • For Filling:

  • Chicken mince 300g

  • Onion 1 medium (finely chopped)

  • Soya sauce 2 tbsp

  • Sesame oil 1 tsp

  • Corn flour 1 tbsp

  • Salt and black pepper for seasoning

  • Cucumber and tomato for garnish

  • Directions:

  • 1. In a mixing bowl put chicken mince, onion, soya sauce, sesame oil, corn flour, salt and pepper and leave for marinade about 20 minutes.

  • 2. Place wonton wrap on your palm and place ½ tsp filling on one corner; fold to make a small triangle.

  • 3. Fold once more triangle to reach in the middle.

  • 4. Turn triangle to face down or turn on to your face side. Wet the flat corner with water.

  • 5. Overlap the right end corners to left moist corner and pinch the ends firmly to seal it creating a nurse cap looks.

  • 6. Once all done, place on a plate and cover with dry towel. Keep aside.

  • 7. Heat up oil in a wok over medium flame. Carefully slide down in hot oil and fry until golden brown. Fry all wontons in badges.

  • 8. Remove fried wontons on paper towel to remove excess oil. Then set in serving palter and garnish with cucumber and tomato.

  • 9. Serve hot with ketchup or mayo.

  • Note: You can make wontons in advance, cover them with plastic wrap and refrigerate. When you want to fry, rest on room temperature then go for frying.

  1. the recipe of khana pakana is so easy and practical that every one can make it but ...some ingredient in engish become difficult to understand.pl write them in urdu in bracket.
