All purpose flour 1 cup and 2 tbsp
Granulated sugar ¾ cup
Baking powder 1 ½ tsp
Salt ½ tsp
Soft butter 2oz
Milk ¾ cup
Vegetable oil 2 tsp
Vanilla essence ½ tsp
For Candy Melts
White chocolate 200g
Gel food color ½ tsp
Frosting of your choice 1 can
In a bowl mix all purpose flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
In another bowl beat the butter then add in dry ingredients and mix for 30 seconds.
Beat in milk, oil, vanilla essence and egg for one minute.
Pour batter in greased cake pan and bake at 180 degree C for 20-25 minutes.
Let it cool completely.
Break white chocolate in pieces and microwave to melt about 1 minute.
When it melts, mix in your desired food color until to get required color.
Candy melts is ready.
Assembling Cake Pops
Cut the hard edges of cake and divide cake into chunks and fine crumbs the cake by using your hands. You can also use food processor for this purpose.
Add a small amount of frosting about ½ cup in crumbs and mix it to get the consistency of clay.
Make small balls out of cake dough.
Melt the prepared candy melts. If this is too thick add a little oil.
Dip the end of a lollipop stick into the melted coating and then into a cake ball, gently pushing until the stick is about half way through the cake ball. Rest in fridge to set.
Dip each cake pop in melted candy until to coat completely.
Set coated cake pops in cake pop stand until the coating is hard.
