  • Ingredients You Need:

  • Rice krispies cereal treats 1 dozen

  • White confectionery coating or chocolate 1 mug

  • Yellow candy color

  • White modeling chocolate (white chocolate + corn syrup)

  • Caster sugar for dusting

  • Orange and black colors

  • Wooden sticks a dozen

  • Equipment You Need:

  • Cutter egg shaped

  • Parchment paper

  • Nozzle round tip no. 7

  • Baking sheet

  • Tweezers

  • Rolling pin

  • Directions:

  • 1. Cut cereal treats into egg shape by using egg shape cutter.

  • 2. Insert wooden sticks into each cereal like pops about 1 inch inside to the lower broad part.

  • 3. Color a portion of modeling chocolate into orange shade (for beaks) with a drop of orange color, also color a little portion into black (for eyes).

  • 4. Dust the caster sugar on surface and roll out orange modeling chocolate and cut into ¼ “  broad strips with the help of sharp knife then cut them into triangles (for beaks).  As well roll out black modeling chocolate and shape tiny rounds (for eyes) with nozzle.

  • 5. Now take a large portion of white modeling chocolate and roll out. Use egg shaped cutter and cut 12 ovals, use knife and cut them into half jagged patterns.

  • 6. Now you are ready to décor the hatching chick pops.

  • 7. For Assembling: Melt white chocolate and stirring spontaneously to mix and avoid to form lumpy, add yellow color incorporate well.

  • 8. Put melted coating into long glass so that chick pops can be dip well from all sides. Dip all cereal pops into this melted chocolate then gently shake and allow the excess chocolate drip off from pop back to the chocolate glass.

  • 9. Line baking sheet with parchment paper. Set your dipped pops on sheet, quickly decorate jagged pattern on the egg shaped pop to form cracked egg shape, also set beak and eyes better use tweezers to adjust finely. You can add hair or feathers also in some chicks for a variety. Decorate one pop at a time.

  • 10. Freeze decorated pops into freezer to set for approximately 10 minutes, Avoid to keep longer into freezer otherwise your chicks will get sticky.

  • Ready to serve, have fun with chocolate hatched chick pops!
