This can be linked to a number of factors like life style, religious views, attitude, belief, motivation level or personal fears. Top five reasons for this are following:

  • 1. Sometime people think that nothing will happen because they do not have a positive perspective towards health. For example, a child eats too many sweets but parents do not advising him that teeth could be damaged or a person who drinks alcohol and smokes too much, still carries on despite knowing the risks. Some people simply like to follow other people in making wrong decision that could affect their health. They end up developing a negative viewpoint about health. They think that they deserve to be happy but forget that they also deserve to be healthy and smart!

  • 2. There may be some financial reasons too. Healthy food with good quality is expensive to buy. Some people cannot not afford expensive food and exercise machines. Some people cannot afford to join a gym. At times it is difficult to change standard of lifestyle. These financial factors restrict the individuals to care about their health and fitness.

  • 3. Lack of education may also cause ignorance towards health and physical fitness. It is difficult for people to decide what to eat and how to exercise. Poor knowledge about the diet and importance of health are the key elements of failure in following health and fitness stuff. People can also get confuse due to changing trends in health education; one day they discover a food item or an exercise good for them and the next day they find it bad for their physical condition or circumstances. This should be addressed by taking proper consultation.

  • 4. Laziness is the most important physical factor. People enjoy doing something that feels good rather than thinking about its effects on them later on. They are fed up of thinking all the time what is good or bad for their health. They may also become habitual of their delicious food and daily routine that they cannot change. Thoughts like “Life is short, eat whatever you want” becomes their mind-set.

  • 5. Following celebrities is also a reason. People think that they eat junk and do not have time for daily exercise but they are still smart and healthy. Remember that weight is not a proper reflection of someone’s health. You never know about their diet behind the doors. So, just a snapshot of their busy routine and eating in movies and advertisements is not enough to be inspired by them.

  • Each bite is a choice. There is always a grey area between good and bad, so choose wisely. Exercises and skipping a few bites of junk food can make a big change in the long run.
