  • After weeks of hard work you can give yourself a treat by going to the spa. But bear in mind that you are not the only one who goes to the spa to shake away the aches, the stress and the worries. There are others who need the same benefits that a spa gives and thus, you should show consideration by:

  • • Always arriving at least 20 minutes earlier so you can use the steam bath or sauna.

    • Turning your cell phone off which is a stress object and talking to someone through it will only disturb the other customers.

    • Not discussing your problems with your life at the spa. You are there to relax and to forget about them for a while. Talking about what concerns you are facing will not help you do that; instead, you will just stress yourself out besides perturbing others.

    • Not going to spa all soaked with sweat directly after a workout – showing some respect for the therapist who will on your body.

    • Tipping your therapist. Remember spa personnel are not your servants, so you shouldn’t order them about. If you want them to do a good job, treat them with respect and courtesy.

    • Not complaining if you still feel some pain after your session because healing takes time. One massage will not cure all the aches and pains in your body, book your next appointment and make sure that you show up for it.

  • Note: you should wash the chlorine off immediately after emerging from the Jacuzzi because prolonged exposure to chlorine is bad for the skin; take your time and do not be in too much of a hurry to get back too your life after your treatment-you can’t heal if you don’t rest so relax to get the most out of it; drink lots of water after your massage but avoid having a big and heavy meal.
