Similarly, the good thing about summer is that we can enjoy different ice cold drinks, ice creams as well as many seasonal fruits like mangoes. Bad thing about summer is that it bring along different skin diseases because skin is very sensitive to sun. Sunburn is very common which is caused by ultraviolet radiations that emit from sun. Sunburn affects living tissues. You can adopt the following ways to rescue yourself from the appalling disease.

  • • First thing that you need to done is avoid sun as much as possible. Girls can use umbrella and guys can utilize hat to save themselves from ultraviolet rays as holding an umbrella is not that suitable for them.

  • • Make use of sun block or sun cream before going out in sun. Water proof sunscreen is better as it does wipe away the affects even after using water.

  • • Taking Vitamin D helps one to protect itself from sunburn. This sound somewhat funny as sun itself is a source of Vitamin D that’s why it’s true that diamond cuts diamond.

  • • After every three to four weeks go to your doctor and make sure that you are not suffering from sunburn by taking skin test so your doctor could diagnosis sunburn in early stages.

  • • Take cool water bath 3-4 times a day to till your sunburn recovered. One can add a cup of vinegar or buttermilk in bath tub for better results.

  • • Try to eat Lycopene as it help to prevent sun damage and you can get it from tomatoes as are a good source of lycopene. If you don’t like tomatoes than you can take them in the form of salad. (There are many recipes available for tomato salads on Khanapakana.)

  • • Research shows that sunburn can be heal by applying Cucumber or calendula (plants) on skin as they enclose the compounds that reduce swelling. Many sun creams contain calendula so you can consume them too.

  • • Taking green tea is also a good measure to save your skin from UV rays.

  • • Undertake the use of peppermint either add it in water or tea.

  • • Aloe Vera juice can also support one to overcome sunburn.

  • • Corn-starch can also be applied on infected are.

  • • Coneflower can also be used to soothe the skin as well as for flattening of bacteria.
