How to Make Khoya at Home – Solid Milk at Home
Khoya is a thickened form of milk made after boiling milk. Khoya is widely used in Pakistani sweets and desserts. For those people who do not get it easily, this is a picture tutorial that might help them to make koya at home.

  • Khoya is a thickened form of milk made after boiling milk. Khoya is widely used in Pakistani sweets and desserts. For those people who do not get it easily, this is a picture tutorial that might help them to make koya at home.

  • Things You Need

  • Milk 1 liter

  • A wide deep pan

  • A spoon to stir

  • Method

  • Pour milk in pan and allow boiling.

  • Once the milk boils, reduce heat to low. Stir occasionally. Scrap the sides of the pan with spoon.

  • After 20 minutes the milk should reduce to half. Don’t for get to stir and scrap sides of pan.

  • Boil more 20-25 minutes until milk reduce to quarters and turns to pale yellow color. At this stage keep an eye on milk and stir continually to avoid stick with pan or to burn.

  • Heat & stir until the milk completely thickens and forms the Khoya particles. Do not forget about stirring frequently.

  • After 10-15 minutes cooking almost all water of milk will evaporates and solidifies the milk completely. Now, when you stir, the substance stir together firmly into a single mass. Switch off the stove. Allow cool to room temperature.

  • Your homemade khoya is ready to use.
