Apples 4 (cored and halved)
Lemon juice 1 tsp
Apricot or other fruit preserve 3 tbsp
Water 2 tbsp
Puff pastry 1 sheet
Cinnamon powder to taste
1- Preheat oven to 190 degree C. Grease the muffin tin.
2- Slice apples horizontally into thin pieces.
3- Add some water in a bowl and mix in lemon juice. Add apples slices in mixture and microwave for 3 minutes to soften up the apple slices.
4- Meanwhile flour the work surface and roll out puff pastry. Roll enough that you can make 6 strips at 3 inches wide.
5- In a bowl mix fruit preserve with 2 tbsp water.
6- Spread this mixture in center of each strip.
7- Now place soft apple slices in long ways half on the strips of pastry. Keep placing slices until you reach the end.
8- Fold up the bottom part of the dough over slices.
9- Roll it carefully and seal the edges, place each rolled strip in greased muffin tin.
10- Bake for 35-40 minutes until fully cooked.
Take out of oven and let cool for about 5 minutes. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve.
