  • Self raising flour is used in many cake recipes however this is not so easily available in many countries, so here is a substitute for self raising flour that you can easily make at home.

  • Substitution for Self-Raising Flour:

  • Self Raising Flour 1 cup =  1 Cup all-purpose flour, 1 tsp baking powder, 1/2 tsp salt and 1/4 tsp baking soda

    Or

    Self Raising Flour 1 cup =  1 Cup all-purpose flour, 1 1/2 tsp baking powder and 1/2 tsp salt

    Or

    Self Raising Flour =  8oz (225g) all-purpose flour and 2 1/2 tsp baking powder


    Sift together all ingredients several times, to get enough air into the flour.
